We are delighted to host Chris Robinson at Studio 41 Pilates on May 24th - 25th 2024.

Chris Robinson brings great passion and endless energy to Pilates. He was certified by the Pilates legend Romana Kryzanowska, whom he directly apprenticed with more than 20 years ago. He continued his Pilates education with Master Instructor Jay Grimes, who was also a student of Joseph Pilates. His love for fitness and top-level professional experience as a purist in The Pilates Method has garnered clients of all levels including professional athletes, private clients, teachers, apprentices, and even Oprah Winfrey, for whom he acted as her core coach.

Chris is the author of “The Core Connection” and creator of the Pilates and Sports Program based in San Diego, California. His work is in high demand as he travels the world sharing his elite skills in The Pilates Method. He is also a two-time Muay Thai Kickboxing Champion and International Fitness Expert with disciplines in Bulgarian Bags, Sprinting, and Functional Traditional Training.

Chris was a collegiate track and field athlete at San Diego State University, where he earned a degree in kinesiology and he has since lived every day in constant pursuit of peak performance. The Houston native has owned and operated three fitness centers and currently owns The S6 Pilates in San Diego. A lifelong athlete and fighter, Chris continues his many years of training with the legendary Saekson Janjira, a Master Muay Thai Teacher. He is a Certified Bulgarian Bags Instructor, and a student of the Inventor of Bulgarian Bags, Ivan Ivanov.

About the workshop

Chris will be running a series of workshops on Friday 24th - Saturday 25th May 2024. Each day will combine expert tuition with workshops on specialist subjects.

A full list of topics that will be covered during these days is below. Coffee and refreshments will be provided to the participants.

The workshop will take place between 9.00 and 17.00 every day. The exact timetable will be added shortly.

Participants can choose whether to attend a single day or both days.

Price before 10th March 2024

  • Single day: €330

  • Both days: €580

Price after 10th March 2024

  • Single day: €360

  • Both days: €620

  • Group Mat class (10 people maximum): €40 per person (this class is not restricted to workshop participants).

  • Private sessions: €180*

  • Duet sessions: €150 per person

How to Book:

To book your place please email us at info@studio41pilates.com. We will provide you with the payment instructions. Please note that the payment must be received in full (all bank charges or fees are covered by the participant).

The number of attendees is limited.

We run no refund or cancellation policy this time. In case of cancellation of the workshops by Studio 41 Pilates, the refund will be issued in full.

Day 1 - Friday, 24th May:

  • Joe Pilates' original order and the reasons why. The advanced Reformer workout will help understand how to find the connection of your upper and lower body to the back. Also, show you the progression of the exercises.

  • Joe Pilates developed exercises typically done only by men.This gives insight to the basic exercises most male bodies need, the exercise men enjoy and the exercises that give the most challenge.

  • Small Barrel, Spine Corrector, and Ladder Barrel.

    This workshop takes you from the important basics of correcting the spine to the advanced of challenging the entire body.

Day 2 - Saturday, 25th May:

  • Joe Pilates' most advanced apparatus. A full workout routine using the Wunda Chair.

  • The spine is at your center and controls all movement. So many times its locked in place which could cause limited range of motion, weakness and injury. This workshop will break down how your spine really moves. Gain an understanding of what your spine should be doing in its simplest form.

  • Learn to connect the entire body with the Arm Springs / Leg Springs Workout both on the Cadillac and standing exercises.
